I stumbled across (and subscribed to) a UK TV YouTube channel in my never ending thirst for UK Panel show episodes last year and was happy to see that they had recently published up some of Channel 5 Scotland's "Secret Scotland" series which I also shared with my parents.
Dad, who is Scottish born and bred, actually messaged me with something that was so close to a mini review that I thought I'd put it here because it perfectly describes my thoughts on the series too.
So here's Dad's honest mini-review on ...

SECRET SCOTLAND
WITH SUSAN CALMAN
We finally got around to watching the Secret Scotland videos last night.
The presenter, Susan Calman is a fairly brash wee Glasgow woman, good-natured in traditional Glasgow fashion; a happily different approach to the travelogue genre with splendid scenery, unusual pictures, and friendly “people chat” to participants.
Susan joins a game of shinty, tries some Highland games stuff and participates in most things. A bit rough, but very attractive in its closeness to subject, the the homely and direct friendliness of conversation, several unusual and interesting items and the superlative scenery including a tour round the parts of the north-west that I suggested to you when you were planning your trip out of Inverness up by Loch Maree.
Highly recommended to anyone who can put up with Glasgow patter, noisy women, and direct unaffected speech.

I think Dad's review sums it up even better than some of the TV media sites I have seen out there.
The series definitely gets a two thumbs up from me too!
